From our comic homies at the Beguiling, greatest comic store in the known, comes word that local animation dood Howie Shia just snagged the 'Open Entries Grand Prix' at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, for his 'urban fairytale', Flutter. Not too familiar with Howie's work, but after seeing a teaser, I'm gonna get me aquainted. He's got a real flowing urban style that really reminds me of Kid Koala's CD liner comics.
