Patrick rides the 'Tubes

Just got an email from Patrick Jenkins, former TAIS head-honcho and all-round animated individual. He's got some choice cuts from some of his films up on his newly minted YouTube page, including the above clip from his award-winning film "Labyrinth". Go check 'em out. More on the ChickenJam next week! Oh, and Anonymous, if you want me to post yer chicken film, I'm gonna need to know who y'are! Just sayin' is all. More later.

**UPDATE**-man, gotta learn to read the WHOLE email. Seems there's a couple of interviews with Patrick up online...he's talkin' bout production of his films 'Labyrinth' and 'The Skateboarder'. Go. Watch. Learn. More to come!

Hi Neil, this is Heather (erikochan), a friend of Kyubikitsy's (of nemu*nemu fame).

Just wanted to let you know that I am helping to organize a showing of Stefan Gruber's short animation on July 8, 2009 at 8pm (that's tomorrow!). It will be an outdoor dessert potluck (yum!) at the UTSU building, 12 Hart House Circle, on the University of Toronto downtown campus. Stefan is an animator and animation teacher from Seattle who produces wonderful all-ages animated shorts. The show, "Fantasy Pleasure Complex 10" is the result of 10 years of work. Check out http://www.stefangruber.com and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1VML9bGY1Y for more info! Anyhow, if you could help us get the word out, that would be terrific!

Also, it's great to hear that Patrick has been busy. He was organizing TAIS back in the days when I was a student and I really appreciated all his help. I even did a stop-motion workshop there with Jonathan Amitay using the big camera. (I don't think I ever managed to pick up my film print/vhs from that either...)
