Kosher-mation!

Had a request for 'Almonds and Wine' by Arnie Lipsey, but alas, it exists not online. Madi is on the case, seeing if it's on DVD alone or as part of a compilation. Meanwhile, here's a couple of faves...a selection from Pilar Newton's nicely produced 'Kabbalatoons', and Dan Meth's immortal 'Hebrew Crunk'. Hope that holds ya over, Steven! More to come...

TAIS@Ottawa '07: Animator's Picnic

A rare Saturday post, with me here at Splashy headquarters crashing a Monday deadline for our updated skateboarding game (I'll post a level flythrough sometime this month.) Here it is, finally: footage from the Ottawa '07 picnic in Strathcona Park. Beautiful day, and everyone was in a freaky fabulous mood. Got some great stuff, with interviews featuring Emru Townsend (yer gonna get well, man...you just are), Pilar Newton, the students from Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and some of the standard Chris whackiness-ness we've come to know and love. Plus, Joanna Quinn drops a pumpkin.

I'll try to post more in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, I'll have a follow-up post soon covering details of the MonsterJam and the upcoming TAIS animation showcase in June. Cheers!

Pilar at GIRAF3

Just a quick post to end the week. Congrats to New Yawk's own animatin' female firecracker, Pilar Newton! She managed to get three of her Kaballa Toons programmed into Quickdraw's GIRAF 3 Fest. Nice! And yes, I'm flippin' jealous. But my Happy Beaver arrived, so everything's cool. More later.
